Midland DHB Reviews Against National Tumour Standards

National tumour standards were developed as a part of the Ministry of Health’s ‘Faster Cancer Treatment’ (FCT) work programme.  Four Midland DHBs, Waikato, Lakes, Bay of Plenty and Tairawhiti are participating in the regional review of selected tumour standards. The reviews will highlight gaps in the provision of cancer services and identify opportunities for improvement.

It is expected that each DHB will develop as action plan to address recommendations from each standards review.

National tumour standards information is available on the Ministry of Health website http://www.health.govt.nz/our-work/diseases-and-conditions/cancer-programme/faster-cancer-treatment-programme/national-tumour-standards
