Midland Research and Audit Work Group
Cancer control research and audit has a critical role to play from primary prevention through to palliative care. Recognising and promoting relevant research is crucial to the success of the New Zealand Cancer Control Strategy. Clinical audit is a quality improvement process that seeks to improve patient care and outcomes through systematic review of care against explicit criteria/standards and implementation of change.
Professor Ross Lawrenson, Waikato Clinical School, is the chair of the Midland Research and Audit Work Group.
