Midland Cancer Network Newsletters

The Midland Cancer Network publishes a quarterly newsletter Koha O Mātauranga in February, May, August and November.

Our newsletter name Koha O Mātauranga means "sharing knowledge".

This reinforces the concept of our logo.

The flax plant represents a strong foundation for the infrastructure of the Midland Cancer Network to support the role and responsibilities of working in collaboration with the many stakeholders, represented as the flax leaves. The father, mother, baby flax leaves always remain the foundation. The flax stalk signifies the journey of life particularly the cancer continuum and links to the New Zealand Cancer Control Strategy Action Plan 2005 - 2010. The koru on the flax stalk represents the desire and aspirations of growth and development to improve the system for all people.
